Learn Divination and Spells

Welcome to Witch on Wheels everyone! The year 2020 is quickly approaching. Happy New Year and New Decade to all! What an amazing time to be alive and soul traveling here on earth. For 2020, my blog will be dedicated solely to the teachings and travelings of this witch. Teaching what you ask? Divination and spell work of course. How a witch travels around obviously! There are all types of beautiful and amazing witches doing all types of wonderful witchcraft. I would like to share some of this magic with you. That is why this year I am going to share my very favorite forms of divination and my most loved and often used spells with everyone. All of us have a different type of divination and magic that they are drawn to because it comes naturally. I encourage you to try as many as you can as you never know until you try. For instance, you may not feel a strong pull towards crystal magic and healing, but once you try it, you may find that you are very talented in that area. If you don't like something, then it is okay to move on. You know, square pegs, round holes, blah, blah, blah. For instance, I have tried repeatedly to use a pendulum for divination, but I, quite literally, cannot. I believe it's because I am the most impatient person in the world. I will keep trying though. You never know. That one time I pick up a pendulum might be the time I find the perfect one for me or I am patient and focused enough for it to actually work. Honestly, though, I think it is important to have one type of divination you are dedicated to learning fully and several others you are trying out. Sometimes, in practicing this way, we find an amazing combination of divinatory tools and spell work that is perfectly suited to our best skills. It's like a magical tool belt custom designed by you, for you. Some of us are healers, some are protectors, some lightworkers and some practitioners of dark magic. Some of us are solitary and some practice in groups. There are hedge witches, kitchen witches, eclectic witches, and elemental witches just to name a few. I strongly encourage you to not put yourself in a box or define yourself with one of these labels and instead, focus on all of the brilliant things you will learn without the self-imposed limits that labels can give us!

I will be starting the year off by teaching about my number one, all-time, very favorite, possible obsession, Tarot Cards. I have been reading Tarot for over 30 years and I am so excited to share my Year Ahead Spread with you. You will also learn different Tarot spreads, how to use other forms of divination with Tarot, and how to use the cards in your daily life for meditation and guidance. Another thing I will teach is how keeping a daily Tarot or Oracle card journal will greatly benefit your learning journey. As a matter of fact, you will see those posts directly after this one. Make sure to read them if you are wanting to start a Tarot or Oracle card journal for the coming year. We will also discuss the Fool's Journey and how it is so important when you are putting the pieces of a reading together. Tarot readings are a story and the Fool's Journey helps us to understand how the cards interact with one another so that we can be a better storyteller.

An important thing to know about the way I read Tarot is that I use a lot of astrology and I will be teaching those aspects of the cards. To me, court cards are the most difficult to teach and to learn, so helping identify and describe them with astrology is an amazing tool. I also use some numerology with my Tarot practice as numbers can play a significant role when interpreting card meanings and how they are interacting with one another. One of the best parts of Tarot, obviously, are the decks themselves. The artwork is inspirational and when we are drawn to a deck, that connection to the cards enables us to be better receptors for our messages. There are so many outstanding Tarot decks and books to choose from. This can make it difficult to choose. If you are just starting out, I always recommend a Rider-Waite deck. If you learn to read the Tarot with a deck like this, then all other decks, with their different themes and cards, will be easier to learn. This is the reason that I ask my clients to choose their deck when I do a reading. In choosing, they are creating a conscious energy flow and opening a doorway for the messages to come through. At the end of this article, look for links to my favorite decks of all times and my suggested beginner's decks. If you have a deck you've been holding onto and wanting to use but didn't know where to start, now is the perfect time.

Throughout the year, I will also be teaching spell work for various things such as self-improvement, altar set up, manifesting, protection, sun and moon cycles, cleansing your cards, home, workspace, and vehicle, and more. There are many important dates during the year in which certain types of magic work best, so watch for special posts regarding solstices and equinoxes as well as important astrological events like new moons and full moons. For these types of spells, you will have the opportunity to learn herbal magic, candle magic, altar setups, moon magic, and more. We will also explore some other types of divination throughout the year like using runes and oracle cards, scrying, cartomancy, and bibliomancy. I will also be touching on Astrology topics and how that may affect us in our daily lives.

Lastly, I will be sharing my fun travels with everyone as well as how to stay witchy on the road. I have so much fun gathering wild plants and herbs for my spells when I'm out and about. I'm also blessed to be able to do readings and spells using the magic energy of many beautiful places. I always keep a deck of Tarot and a travel altar with me and I will show you my methods. You will learn what crystals and spells I use for safe travels and how to ward off negative energy you may run into out there. My husband and I really love to travel to some spooky old places so this is very important. We happen to live in one of the most beautiful states in the U.S. and are close to some of the most magical places on Earth.

I am so looking forward to the New Year and sharing all of this fun and empowering information with you all. Never forgot that magic exists all around us, but more importantly, we ARE magic. The mere fact that we exist is magic. We are energy and energy never dies, just transforms. That makes energy the ultimate magic and us the wielders of that great power. Divination and spell work are ways to harness that energy and use it to promote growth and learning so that we can live our truest soul journey. In this way, we create our life here on Earth as a manifestation of our soul's energy and it's purpose. I sincerely hope that 2020 is a year of each and every one of you taking the Fool's Journey of transformation to find your authentic self and learning to be true to the light and dark places that you find there.
